  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened Can substitute with reduced-fat cream cheese or Greek yogurt.
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend) Other options include pepper jack or mozzarella.
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon cumin
  • to taste none Salt and pepper
  • for garnish none Chopped green onions Optional garnish.

Preparation

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, chili, shredded cheese, sour cream, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined and creamy.
  • Transfer the mixture into a greased baking dish and spread it evenly.
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Bake the dip for 20 to 25 minutes, or until it’s hot and bubbly, with slightly browned edges.
  • Remove from the oven and garnish with chopped green onions if desired. Serve warm with tortilla chips or crackers.

Notes

Serve with tortilla chips, vegetable sticks, or crackers. Keep warm in a slow cooker for longer serving times. Leftovers can be refrigerated for 3-4 days or frozen for later use.
