Cream Mixture

  • 1 cup mascarpone cheese If unavailable, substitute with a mixture of cream cheese and heavy cream.
  • 1 cup heavy cream Using lighter cream may affect the texture.
  • 1/2 cup sugar Adjust sweetness to taste.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Adds flavor depth.

Bars Construction

  • 1 cup brewed coffee, cooled Essential for flavor; make sure it's cooled.
  • 1 package ladyfingers These provide the structure; pound cake can be a substitute.
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder For dusting; use a fine mesh sieve for even application.
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips For added richness.
  • 1/4 cup dark chocolate, melted Drizzle for an elegant finish.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a large mixing bowl, blend mascarpone cheese, heavy cream, sugar, and vanilla extract. Whip until soft peaks form.
  • Pour cooled coffee into a shallow dish. Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the coffee and layer them in a 9x9 inch pan.

Layering

  • Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the layer of ladyfingers.
  • Add another layer of dipped ladyfingers and then spread the remaining mascarpone mixture over this layer.

Chilling

  • Refrigerate the Tiramisu Bars for at least 4 hours or overnight.

Finishing Touch

  • Before serving, dust with cocoa powder and drizzle with melted dark chocolate.

Notes

For best results, chill overnight to enhance the flavors. Serve with coffee or dessert wine for a delightful pairing.
