  • 1 cup bread crumbs For a gluten-free option, use almond flour or crushed cornflakes.
  • 1/2 cup honey Can substitute with agave syrup or a sugar substitute.
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce Use tamari or coconut aminos for a gluten-free option.
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard Can be substituted with yellow mustard if necessary.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooking spray or oil for greasing Use olive oil spray for added flavor.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • In a bowl, combine honey, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper to make the sauce.
  • Coat each piece of chicken with the sauce and then roll in bread crumbs until fully coated.
  • Place the coated chicken on a greased baking sheet, ensuring space between pieces.
  • Spray the top of the chicken lightly with cooking spray or drizzle with a little oil.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the crust is crispy.
  • Let it rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For a crispy texture, use panko breadcrumbs instead of regular breadcrumbs. Serve with fresh herbs for extra flavor and presentation.
