  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs For gluten-free version, use crushed cornflakes or gluten-free breadcrumbs.
  • 1/4 cup milk Any type of milk can be used, including non-dairy options.
  • 2 pieces eggs For a vegan version, replace with flax eggs.
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • Cooking spray or butter For greasing the dish.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Make sure to preheat the oven for even cooking.
  • In a large bowl, combine the cooked creamed spinach, shredded cheese, breadcrumbs, milk, eggs, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are incorporated.
  • Grease a casserole dish with cooking spray or butter to prevent sticking.
  • Pour the spinach mixture into the prepared casserole dish and spread it out evenly.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the casserole is set.
  • Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving to firm up the casserole.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3-4 days, or freeze for up to 2 months. Reheat in the oven at 350°F for 15-20 minutes.
