Ingredients
  

For the Sushi Bake Filling

  • 1.5 lbs fresh salmon, skin removed and cubed Fresh salmon is crucial for flavor and texture.
  • 0.25 cup mayonnaise Traditional mayonnaise offers creaminess; can substitute with Greek yogurt.
  • 2 tbsp sriracha Adjust to taste.
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 0.5 tsp garlic powder

For Toppings

  • 0.25 cup cream cheese, softened Makes it easier to spread when softened.
  • to taste green onions, sliced
  • to taste sesame seeds
  • to taste furikake seasoning (optional) Adds a nice umami flavor.

For Serving

  • 8 leaves butter lettuce or romaine leaves, separated and washed Choose sturdy leaves to hold the filling.

Optional Add-Ins

  • to taste avocado slices
  • to taste cucumber
  • to taste spicy mayo drizzle For an extra kick.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a baking dish.
  • In a bowl, mix cubed salmon with mayonnaise, sriracha, soy sauce, sesame oil, and garlic powder until evenly coated.
  • Spread the salmon mixture into the prepared dish.
  • Dot cream cheese over the top and sprinkle with furikake if using.

Cooking

  • Bake uncovered for 20–25 minutes, until salmon is cooked and golden on top.
  • While baking, prepare and arrange lettuce leaves on a serving platter.
  • Let salmon cool slightly, then scoop into lettuce leaves.
  • Top with green onions, sesame seeds, and optional toppings. Serve immediately.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days. For freezing, store the filling separate from the lettuce.
