Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, sugar, and baking powder.
  • Add whole milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract; mix until just combined.
  • Carefully pour boiling water over the batter and gently stir to combine.
  • Pour the batter into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.

Baking

  • Bake for 30-35 minutes until the center is set but slightly jiggly.
  • Check for doneness with a toothpick; it should come out with a few moist crumbs.

Notes
