Ingredients
  

Burger Patties

  • 1 pound ground chicken This forms the base of your burger and keeps it moist.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • to taste salt and pepper

Toppings

  • 4 slices cheese (e.g., cheddar or American) Feel free to swap it with Swiss, pepper jack, or blue cheese.
  • 4 slices crispy bacon Can replace with turkey bacon for a healthier option.
  • 1 red onion, sliced
  • 1/2 cup spicy mayo (mayo mixed with hot sauce to taste) Adjust the heat level as desired using hot sauce.
  • 4 pieces buttery burger buns Toast with a bit of butter for extra flavor.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a large bowl, combine the ground chicken, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix gently with your hands until just combined, being careful not to overwork it.
  • Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into patties, about ¾ inch thick.

Cooking

  • Preheat a skillet or grill over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 5 minutes on each side, or until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
  • During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheese on each patty to melt.
  • In the same skillet, add the burger buns and toast them until golden brown.

Assembly

  • Start with the bottom bun, place the chicken patty on top, layer with crispy bacon, slices of red onion, and a generous dollop of spicy mayo.
  • Close the burger with the top bun and serve immediately.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months. Reheat carefully to avoid drying out the chicken.
