  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 piece egg Can be substituted with a flax egg for vegan version.
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce Use vegan Worcestershire sauce for a vegan version.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Sauce Ingredients

  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup Use a healthier alternative or homemade version if desired.
  • 1 cup beef broth Use vegetable broth for a vegan version.

Vegetables

  • 1 piece onion, sliced Can be sautéed beforehand for extra flavor.
  • 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced You can sauté these for additional flavor.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined.
  • Form the mixture into meatballs, about 1-2 inches in diameter.
  • Arrange the meatballs in the bottom of the slow cooker in a single layer.
  • In a separate bowl, mix together the cream of mushroom soup and beef broth until smooth. Pour this mixture over the meatballs.
  • Top the meatballs with sliced onions and mushrooms.

Cooking

  • Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.

Serving

  • When cooked, serve over mashed potatoes or rice.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley for a pop of color and freshness.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days, or freeze for up to 3 months. Reheat gently to maintain moisture.
