  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • to taste sea salt for topping Optional for garnishing.

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter and sugar together until light and fluffy—about 4-5 minutes.
  • Mix in the egg and vanilla extract until combined.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually mix this into the wet ingredients until just combined.

Baking

  • Pour the cookie dough into a greased 10-inch skillet, spreading it evenly.
  • Bake for about 20-25 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.

Serving

  • Let it cool for a few minutes before slicing. Serve warm with toppings of choice.

Notes

Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days in the refrigerator. You can freeze it for up to 2 months. Reheat individual slices in the microwave or oven.
