  • Gather all ingredients. Cut beef into 2-inch chunks, slice onions, and mince garlic.
  • Tip: Slightly freeze the beef for easier cutting.

Sauté for Flavor

  • Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat and sauté onions until golden brown (10-15 minutes).
  • Add minced garlic and sauté for an additional minute, being careful not to burn.
  • Tip: Add salt to onions while sautéing to enhance sweetness.

Build Your Base

  • Transfer sautéed onions and garlic to the slow cooker. Add the beef chunks and mix well.
  • Pour in beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, and rosemary.
  • Tip: Reduce dried herbs if using them.

Let It Simmer

  • Cover the slow cooker and cook on LOW for 8 hours or HIGH for 4 hours.
