Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) if you’re baking. If frying, heat about an inch of oil in a pan over medium heat.
  • Set up a breading station: one bowl with flour, a second with beaten eggs, and a third with crushed pretzels mixed with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.

Breading

  • Take a chicken tender and dip it in the flour, then the beaten eggs, and finally roll it in the pretzel mixture until fully coated.

Cooking

  • For frying, place the coated tenders into the hot oil and cook for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until golden brown.
  • If baking, arrange on a baking sheet and cook for about 20-25 minutes until cooked through.

Serving

  • Once cooked, serve immediately with your choice of dipping sauces.
