  • 2 cups Sugar
  • 1 cup Cider vinegar Can substitute with white vinegar.
  • 1 cup Water
  • 1 teaspoon Cayenne pepper Adjust according to spice preference.
  • 1 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon Salt Enhances flavors.
  • Optional Jalapeños Add for extra heat if desired.

Preparation

  • Slice the pineapple into rings or chunks.
  • In a pot, combine sugar, cider vinegar, and water. Bring to a boil to dissolve sugar.
  • Add cayenne pepper, ground cinnamon, and salt.
  • If desired, add jalapeños for extra heat.
  • Add pineapple to the mixture, simmer for about 10 minutes.
  • Pour into sterilized jars and allow to cool before sealing.

Notes

Store in airtight containers for up to two weeks in the fridge. For longer storage, freeze in safe containers.
