Preparation
In a mixing bowl, combine the peanut butter, powdered sugar, softened butter, and vanilla extract.

Spread the mixture into a greased dish or mold, smoothing the top with a spatula.
If desired, sprinkle chocolate chips on top and press gently.
Refrigerate for at least 2 hours until set, then cut into squares and serve.
Notes
