  • 6 pieces Snickers bars, chopped These provide the iconic taste and texture.
  • 2 cups crispy rice cereal Can be replaced with cornflakes or crushed cookies.
  • 1 cup chocolate chips Use quality chocolate for the best flavor.
  • 1 cup butterscotch chips
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter Almond butter or sunflower seed butter can be used as alternatives.
  • 1/4 cup butter

Preparation

  • In a large bowl, mix the chopped Snickers bars and crispy rice cereal together until well combined.
  • In a saucepan over low heat, melt together the chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, peanut butter, and butter. Stir until smooth.
  • Pour the melted mixture over the cereal and Snickers, stirring until everything is nicely coated.
  • Transfer the combined mixture into a greased 9×9 inch baking dish. Use a spatula to press it down firmly.
  • Place the dish in the refrigerator and let it chill for at least 2 hours, or until the mixture is set.
  • Once set, remove from the fridge, cut into bars, and enjoy!

Notes

To keep your bars fresh, store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week. They can also be frozen for about 2 months.
