  • 2 cups chocolate chips Use dark, milk, or semi-sweet chocolate chips based on preference.
  • 1 cup mixed nuts, chopped Substitute with seeds if nut allergies are a concern.
  • 1 cup crushed graham crackers Can be substituted with gluten-free alternatives.
  • 1 cup caramel sauce Store-bought or homemade caramel both work well.
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter Use coconut cream for a vegan option.
  • 1 cup nougat, chopped Can be omitted or replaced with marshmallows.
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar

Preparation

  • Melt the chocolate chips and butter together in a saucepan over low heat, stirring until smooth and fully melted.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine crushed graham crackers, chopped nuts, and powdered sugar. Stir until evenly mixed.
  • Pour the melted chocolate mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until well combined.
  • Press half of the mixture into a lined baking dish to form the base layer.
  • Spread the caramel sauce evenly over the base layer and sprinkle nougat on top.
  • Top with the remaining chocolate mixture, pressing it down evenly.
  • Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until firm.
  • Once set, cut into squares or rectangles and serve.

Notes

Store bars in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1 week. These bars freeze well; wrap individually for best results.
