  • 1 package Frozen puff pastry sheets
  • 1 each Egg For egg wash
  • 2 cups Fresh spinach leaves Fresh preferred, but frozen works too
  • 8 oz Cream cheese Can substitute with ricotta or goat cheese
  • 1 cup Grated mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup Grated Parmesan cheese Feel free to experiment with other cheeses
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Black pepper

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Sauté spinach in a skillet over medium heat until wilted. Squeeze out excess moisture.
  • In a bowl, combine spinach, cream cheese, mozzarella, Parmesan, garlic, salt, and pepper.
  • Roll out puff pastry sheets to 1/8-inch thickness and cut into 3-inch squares or circles.
  • Place a tablespoon of filling in the center of each pastry piece, fold and seal the edges.
  • Brush the tops with egg wash.
  • Bake on a parchment-lined sheet for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  • Cool slightly before serving.

Notes

These puffs can be customized with various fillings and pair well with dipping sauces like yogurt-based dip or marinara sauce. Store leftovers in an airtight container for 3-4 days.
