  • 4 fillets salmon fillets Fresh salmon is recommended for flavor and texture.
  • 1 cup mango puree Can be homemade or store-bought.
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce Use tamari sauce for gluten-free option.
  • 2 tablespoons honey Adjust sweetness to preference.
  • 1 tablespoon teriyaki sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped green onions for garnish Optional

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • In a small bowl, combine the mango puree, soy sauce, honey, and teriyaki sauce. Stir well until fully blended.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Season salmon fillets with salt and pepper, then place them skin-side down in the skillet. Sear for about 3-4 minutes until golden brown.
  • Carefully flip the fillets and pour half of the mango glaze over the top.
  • Transfer the skillet directly to the oven and bake for 8-10 minutes or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
  • Drizzle the remaining glaze over the salmon before serving. Garnish with chopped green onions if desired.

Notes

To store leftovers, keep them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days. For frozen storage, wrap individual portions tightly and place them in a freezer-safe bag.
