  • 2 cups cooked, shredded chicken Rotisserie chicken can save time.
  • 1 jar marinara sauce Store-bought is fine, but homemade can elevate flavors.
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded Grate your own for better melting.
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning You can substitute with a mix of oregano, basil, thyme, and rosemary.
  • Salt and pepper to taste Adjust according to preference.
  • Fresh basil for garnish Optional

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked pasta, shredded chicken, marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  • Pour the mixture into a greased casserole dish.
  • Top with shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Remove from oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh basil if desired.

Notes

This casserole can be customized by adding vegetables or adjusting seasonings. It works well as leftovers and can be frozen for later use.
