  • 1 lb lean ground beef Substitute with ground turkey or chicken if desired.
  • ½ cup teriyaki sauce Make your own if needed using soy sauce, sugar, and vinegar.
  • 1 cup bell peppers, sliced Feel free to use other colorful vegetables.
  • 1 cup broccoli florets Other vegetables like snap peas or carrots can be used.
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced Add towards the end to prevent burning.
  • 2 tbsp olive oil For cooking.

Preparation

  • Begin by washing your bell peppers and broccoli, then slice the bell peppers and onion. Mince the garlic.
  • Prep ingredients in advance for a smoother cooking process.

Cooking

  • In a large skillet or wok, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.
  • Add the ground beef to the skillet. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until browned.
  • Drain excess fat from the cooked beef.
  • Pour the teriyaki sauce over the browned beef and let it simmer for about 2 minutes.
  • Toss in the sliced onions, bell peppers, and broccoli. Stir-fry for another 4-5 minutes until vegetables are tender-crisp.
  • Add the minced garlic and continue cooking for another minute.
  • Serve hot on top of rice or noodles, garnishing with sesame seeds or chopped green onions if desired.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days. Freeze in a freezer-safe container for up to 3 months.
