Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 4 pieces pork chops (bone-in or boneless) Bone-in pork chops tend to be juicier.
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese Freshly grated Parmesan will elevate the flavor.
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs Use plain or Italian-seasoned breadcrumbs.
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced Adjust the amount for stronger or milder garlic flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning Can be replaced with fresh chopped herbs.
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for drizzling Enhance crispiness with a light drizzle.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). This ensures your pork chops cook evenly and get that nice golden brown crust. Use a meat thermometer to check for doneness—145°F means tender, juicy pork!
  • In a bowl, mix together the grated Parmesan, breadcrumbs, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Adjust the amount of garlic according to your taste preference.
  • Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels and coat them in the Parmesan mixture, pressing gently to help it stick. You can lightly drizzle the coated chops with olive oil to enhance crispiness.

Cooking

  • Place the coated chops on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake them for about 25-30 minutes, or until they reach the internal temperature of 145°F. Flip the chops halfway during baking to ensure even crispness.
  • After removing from the oven, let the chops rest for 5 minutes to retain juices. Serve immediately! Garnish with fresh parsley or extra Parmesan cheese for a pop of color.

Notes

For storage, keep in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 2 months. Reheat in the oven to preserve crispiness. Experiment with different herbs in the breadcrumb mixture for fun variations.
