  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter Use salted butter if unsalted is unavailable, but reduce salt.
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced Fresh garlic works best for flavor.
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth Fish stock or vegetable broth can be used as alternatives.
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice Freshly squeezed lemon juice enhances flavor.
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes Optional for added spice.
  • to taste Salt and pepper Adjust according to preference.
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped Used for garnish.
  • Pasta, rice, or crusty bread for serving Choose based on preference.

Preparation

  • Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  • Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook until they turn pink, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  • Pour in chicken broth and lemon juice, then add red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.
  • Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  • Remove from heat, stir in fresh parsley, and serve over pasta, rice, or with crusty bread.

Notes

Serve with a squeeze of fresh lemon for added brightness. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
