  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts Can substitute with thighs for a richer flavor.
  • 4 tablespoons butter Can use olive oil or ghee as a healthier alternative.
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced Fresh garlic is essential for flavor; can use garlic powder in a pinch.
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped Fresh herbs preferred; use one-third the amount if using dried.
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice Can substitute orange juice for a citrus twist.
  • to taste Salt and pepper Season generously.
  • splash heavy cream (optional) For a creamy version.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and melt the butter.
  • Season the chicken breasts generously with salt and pepper on both sides.

Cooking

  • Add the seasoned chicken to the skillet and sear for about 6-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and thoroughly cooked.
  • Remove the chicken from the skillet and set it aside to rest.
  • In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Add the chopped parsley and lemon juice to the skillet, stirring to combine.
  • If making creamy, add a splash of heavy cream and mix well.
  • Return the chicken to the skillet and spoon the sauce over it, letting it simmer for another 2-3 minutes.
  • Serve the Garlic Butter Chicken hot.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container and refrigerate for up to 3 days, or freeze for 2-3 months. Reheat gently on the stovetop or microwave with a splash of broth or water.
