  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour Can substitute with almond flour or gluten-free flour, but texture may change.
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips (optional) Toss in flour before adding to prevent sinking.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking pan with parchment paper.
  • In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat until it browns slightly. Remove from heat and stir in the chopped dark chocolate until melted and smooth.
  • Whisk in the sugars until combined.
  • Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  • Gently fold in the flour and salt until just combined.
  • If desired, fold in dark chocolate chips.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread it evenly.

Baking

  • Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the top is crackly and the center is set.
  • Let cool before slicing into squares and serving.

Notes
