Wrap Filling

  • 2 cups Fresh spinach leaves Use young and tender for the best flavor.
  • 4 oz Cream cheese Melts smoothly for a rich texture.
  • 1 cup Shredded cheddar cheese For a sharp, tangy bite.
  • 1 clove Garlic Minced finely for added depth.
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil For sautéing.
  • 2 large Flour tortillas Soft but sturdy.
  • Salt and pepper To taste.
  • 1 tbsp Butter For toasting the wrap.

Preparation

  • In a skillet over medium heat, heat the olive oil. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 30 seconds. Then, add the fresh spinach and cook until wilted.
  • In a bowl, combine the sautéed spinach and garlic with cream cheese and shredded cheddar. Season with salt and pepper to taste, mixing until well combined.
  • Lay a flour tortilla on a flat surface. Spoon a generous amount of the cheese and spinach mixture onto the center, leaving some space around the edges.
  • Gently fold in the sides of the tortilla over the filling, then roll it from the bottom up, ensuring a tight wrap.
  • In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Place the wrapped tortilla seam-side down and toast until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes. Flip and repeat on the other side.

Notes

For different variations, try adding crushed red pepper flakes for spice, substituting cream cheese with Greek yogurt for a lighter option, or incorporating sun-dried tomatoes for a Mediterranean twist.
