  • 8 oz linguine pasta Substitute with spaghetti or fettuccine if desired.
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined Fresh is ideal, but frozen shrimp can be used if fully thawed.
  • 2 tbsp olive oil Helps to prevent shrimp from sticking.
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced Watch for burning to prevent bitterness.
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved Will release juices to create a sauce.
  • 1/4 cup white wine Optional; can substitute with seafood broth or lemon juice.
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes Adjust to taste for spiciness.
  • Salt and pepper to taste Season as needed for flavor.
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish) Adds color and freshness.

Preparation

  • Cook the linguine according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  • Add garlic and red pepper flakes; sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Add shrimp and cook until pink, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  • Add cherry tomatoes and white wine; simmer for about 3 minutes.
  • Toss the cooked linguine in the skillet with the shrimp mixture.
  • Season with salt and pepper.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

Tips: Don't overcook shrimp; taste as you go; adjust consistency with reserved pasta water.
