  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  • Spread the cubed French bread evenly in the prepared baking dish, then sprinkle the blueberries evenly over the top.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt until fully combined.
  • Pour the egg mixture evenly over the bread and blueberries, pressing down gently with a spatula to ensure absorption.
  • Cover and refrigerate for a few hours or overnight if time allows.

Baking

  • Cover the dish with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes.
  • Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until the top is golden brown and the center is set.

Serving

  • Let cool slightly, dust with powdered sugar if desired, and serve warm.
