Main Ingredients

  • 2 cups pasta (such as penne or rotini) Substitute any short pasta if needed.
  • 2 cups marinara sauce Homemade or jarred sauce can be used.
  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded Rotisserie chicken is a great time-saver.
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese Use fresh for better melting.
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs Panko breadcrumbs for added crunch.
  • to taste salt and pepper
  • to drizzle olive oil Optional, for enhancing flavor.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large dish, combine the pasta, marinara sauce, and shredded chicken. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Spread the mixture evenly in the baking dish.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 25 minutes.
  • Remove from the oven and sprinkle the mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top, followed by the breadcrumbs.
  • Drizzle with olive oil if desired.
  • Return to the oven and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the breadcrumbs are golden brown.

Serving

  • Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3-4 days. Can be frozen for up to 3 months.
