Ingredients
  

Chickpea Base

  • 1 can chickpeas, drained and rinsed Chickpeas are high in protein and fiber.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil Can be substituted with avocado oil or cooking spray.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder Provides savory flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon paprika For a smoky flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon cumin Adds warmth and depth.
  • to taste salt Adjust according to preference.

Optional Add-ins

  • 1 cup mixed nuts Toast beforehand for extra flavor.
  • 1 cup favorite seeds Can include pumpkin, sunflower, etc.

Instructions
 

Preparation and Roasting

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Combine chickpeas with olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, cumin, and salt in a bowl. Toss to coat.
  • Spread chickpeas on a baking sheet in a single layer. Avoid overcrowding.
  • Roast the chickpeas for 20-30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until golden and crunchy.
  • If using mixed nuts and seeds, mix them in once the chickpeas are roasted.
  • Let the mix cool before serving.

Notes

Store in an airtight container for up to a week; can be frozen for up to 2 months.
