  • 1 cup ground pork or chicken Can substitute with turkey, tofu, or shrimp.
  • 1 cup finely chopped vegetables (carrots, cabbage, green beans) Any stir-fry vegetables or bean sprouts are great.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • as needed oil for frying Use vegetable, canola, or peanut oil.

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a large bowl, mix together the ground meat, chopped vegetables, minced garlic, chopped onion, soy sauce, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  • Take a spring roll wrapper and lay it flat on your work surface. Place about 1 tablespoon of the filling in the center of the wrapper.
  • Fold the bottom of the wrapper up over the filling, then fold the sides in, and roll tightly from the bottom up to seal the spring roll securely.

Frying

  • Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat until hot.
  • Fry the spring rolls in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 4-5 minutes per side.
  • Remove them from the oil and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil.

Serving

  • Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

For best results, don't overstuff the rolls, seal them properly, and ensure the oil is at the right temperature.
