Ingredients
  

For the Salmon

  • 4 fillets salmon fillets Skin-on or skinless depending on preference.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil Drizzle over the fillets.

For the Crust

  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese Freshly grated provides the best flavor.
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs Use plain or seasoned breadcrumbs.
  • 4 tablespoons butter, melted Make sure it's melted but not hot.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder For flavoring the crust.
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley Optional for garnish.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • In a bowl, combine the melted butter, Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Place the salmon fillets on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Drizzle olive oil over the fillets.
  • Press the Parmesan mixture onto the top of each fillet evenly.

Cooking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and the crust is golden brown.
  • Garnish with chopped parsley if desired and serve immediately.

Notes

For a spicy version, add 1 teaspoon of crushed red pepper flakes to the breadcrumb mixture. Ensure to store cooked salmon in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
