  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced Use fresh minced garlic for best flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil For frying the salmon.
  • Chopped green onions, for garnish

Preparation

  • Select high-quality salmon fillets with a bright color and moist appearance.
  • Rinse the salmon fillets under cold water to remove any scales or impurities, then pat dry gently with paper towels.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, and minced garlic until well combined to create the glaze.

Cooking

  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat until hot but not smoking.
  • Place the salmon fillets skin-side down in the skillet and cook for about 4 minutes without moving them.
  • Gently flip the salmon and brush half of the glaze over the top. Continue cooking for another 3 to 4 minutes until fully cooked.
  • Drizzle the remaining glaze over the salmon and garnish with chopped green onions.

Notes

Serve with steamed rice, roasted vegetables, or over quinoa with a salad. Pair with white wine like Sauvignon Blanc or Chardonnay.
