Preparation

  • Boil a large pot of salted water. Add the tortellini and cook according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

Making the Sauce

  • Pour in heavy cream, lemon juice, and zest. Stir and bring to a gentle simmer.
  • Gradually add grated Parmesan cheese while stirring. Cook until melted, about 3-4 minutes.

Combining

  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Add the cooked tortellini to the creamy sauce and toss gently to coat.
  • Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

For additional flavor, consider adding red pepper flakes during garlic sautéing. To store, refrigerate for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
