Creamy Chicken Alfredo Ziti Bake

Ingredients
  

Pasta and Chicken

  • 12 oz ziti pasta Can substitute with penne or other short pasta varieties.
  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded or cubed Leftover rotisserie chicken works well.

Sauce and Cheese

  • 3 cups Alfredo sauce Store-bought or homemade.
  • 1.5 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded Feel free to mix cheeses.
  • 0.5 cup Parmesan cheese, grated Pecorino Romano can be used as a substitute.

Seasoning and Oil

  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • Optional herbs (parsley or basil) for garnish

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the ziti pasta and cook for about 8–9 minutes until just al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • In a skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 30 seconds.

Mixing

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked ziti, cooked chicken, Alfredo sauce, and sautéed garlic. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Baking

  • Transfer half of the pasta mixture to a greased baking dish. Sprinkle half of the mozzarella and Parmesan cheese evenly over the top.
  • Layer the rest of the pasta mixture on top, followed by the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  • Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake uncovered for about 20–25 minutes, until the cheese is bubbly and lightly golden.

Serving

  • Let the dish rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

Don’t overcook the pasta to maintain a delightful texture. This dish is ideal for weeknight dinners or special occasions. Can be refrigerated for up to 3–4 days.
