  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 tablespoon Garam Masala Essential for authentic taste; can substitute with a homemade blend.
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • to taste Salt
  • for garnish Fresh cilantro

Preparation

  • Melt the butter over medium heat in a large pan.
  • Sauté the chopped onion until translucent, about 5-7 minutes.
  • Add the minced garlic and grated ginger, cooking until fragrant for 1-2 minutes.
  • Add the cubed chicken and cook until browned, about 7-10 minutes.
  • Mix in the tomato paste, Garam Masala, turmeric, cumin, and salt to incorporate spices.
  • Pour in the heavy cream and simmer for 15-20 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  • Serve hot over rice or pasta, garnished with fresh cilantro.

Notes

Best served with rice, naan bread, or side salads. Store refrigerated for up to 3 days or freeze for longer storage. Reheat gently on the stovetop.
