Ingredients
  

Fruits

  • 2 cups Fresh cranberries These are the star of the show and provide a lovely tartness. If unavailable, substitute with thawed frozen cranberries.
  • 1 can Mandarin oranges Canned or fresh. If using canned, drain well to avoid excess liquid.

Creamy Base

  • 1 container Cool Whip Can substitute with homemade whipped cream made from heavy cream and sugar.
  • 1/2 cup Powdered sugar Adjust according to desired sweetness.

Textural Additions

  • 2 cups Mini marshmallows Add fun texture; can substitute with chopped regular marshmallows.

Preparation

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the fresh cranberries, mandarin oranges, and mini marshmallows.
  • In another bowl, whip together Cool Whip and powdered sugar until well combined.
  • Gently fold the Cool Whip mixture into the cranberry mixture until evenly coated.
  • Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.

Notes

To ensure success, don’t overmix, use fresh ingredients, and chill long enough. Adjust sweetness to preference.
