Ingredients
  

Base Layers

  • 1 can refried beans You can substitute with black beans or pinto beans if you prefer.
  • 1 cup sour cream Can be whisked for a smoother consistency.
  • 1 cup guacamole Fresh guacamole is ideal, but you can use store-bought or avocado puree.
  • 1 cup salsa Choose based on your spice preference—mild, medium, or hot.
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend) Feel free to experiment with pepper jack or dairy-free cheese.

Toppings

  • 1 cup shredded lettuce Adds crunch.
  • 1 tomato diced Fresh tomato for added flavor.
  • 1/2 cup black olives Sliced.
  • 1/4 cup green onions Chopped.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a large serving dish, spread a layer of refried beans at the bottom.
  • Layer the sour cream on top of the refried beans.
  • Spread the guacamole over the sour cream layer.
  • Drizzle salsa over the guacamole.
  • Generously sprinkle shredded cheese over the salsa layer.
  • Top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, sliced black olives, and chopped green onions.

Serving

  • Serve your Colorful Taco Dip with tortilla chips.
  • Chill for about 30 minutes before serving to meld the flavors.

Notes

This layered dip can be made ahead of time but add toppings just before serving.
