Ingredients

For the Pudding Mixture

  • 1 package (3.4 oz) instant vanilla pudding mix This is the key base for your pops. You can swap it out for chocolate or strawberry pudding if desired.
  • 2 cups cold milk Essential for the pudding mix.
  • 1 cup whipped topping Optional, but adds extra creaminess.

For the Jello Mixture

  • 1 package (3 oz) flavored Jello Use your choice of flavor. Classic fruit flavors like strawberry, orange, or lime work well.
  • 2 cups boiling water Used to dissolve the Jello.

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together the instant vanilla pudding mix and cold milk until smooth. Let it sit for about 5 minutes to thicken. Whisk vigorously to avoid lumps.
  • In a separate bowl, mix the flavored Jello with boiling water and stir until completely dissolved. Use a whisk to ensure there are no grains.
  • Gradually pour the pudding mixture into the dissolved Jello, stirring until well combined. For a fun marbled effect, avoid mixing too thoroughly.
  • Pour the pudding mixture into popsicle molds, leaving a little space at the top for expansion. If you don’t have molds, use small cups and insert sticks after a few hours of freezing.
  • Insert popsicle sticks and freeze for at least 4-6 hours or until solid. To make removing the pops easier, run the molds under warm water for a few seconds before pulling them out.

Notes

Store any uneaten pudding mixture in an airtight container for up to 2 days before freezing. Keep the frozen pudding pops in their molds or wrap them in plastic wrap; they’ll last in the freezer for up to 2 months.
