Preparation

  • Beat in the egg and vanilla extract.
  • Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  • Spread the dough evenly in the prepared baking pan.

Baking

  • Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until edges are lightly golden. A toothpick inserted in the center should come out clean.
  • Allow the bars to cool completely in the pan before frosting.

Frosting and Serving

  • Mix the powdered sugar and milk until smooth for the frosting.
