  • 2 pieces slices of bread Choose your preferred type.
  • 1 cup pre-cooked chicken Can be poached or grilled if not using pre-cooked.
  • 4 oz cream cheese Can be substituted with Greek yogurt or cottage cheese.
  • 2 cloves garlic Minced for added flavor.
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese Grated; consider mixing with other cheeses if desired.
  • 2 tbsp butter Softened for easy spreading.
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper

Preparation

  • Preheat a grill or skillet over medium heat.
  • In a bowl, mix the pre-cooked chicken with cream cheese, minced garlic, salt, and pepper.
  • Spread butter on the outside of two slices of bread.
  • On the inside of one slice, layer the chicken mixture and sprinkle with cheddar cheese.
  • Top with the other slice of bread, buttered side up.

Cooking

  • Grill the sandwich until golden brown and the cheese is melted, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  • Slice and serve warm.

Notes

Consider serving with drinks like iced tea or a green salad for a balanced meal. Can be customized with additional ingredients or spices.
