Ingredients

For the Chicken

  • 2 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts For a quicker option, you can use rotisserie chicken.
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced Use fresh garlic for better flavor.
  • 1 cup shredded cheese Cheddar or mozzarella work well; consider a mix for more flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • to taste Salt and pepper

For the Wraps

  • 4 large tortillas Whole wheat or corn tortillas can be used for a healthier option.
  • Optional toppings: lettuce, tomatoes, or additional toppings of your choice

Instructions

Preparation

  • Start by cutting the chicken breasts into thin strips to help them cook quickly and evenly.

Cooking

  • Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and add the chicken strips. Season with paprika, salt, and pepper, and cook until golden brown and fully cooked, about 6-8 minutes.
  • Add the minced garlic to the skillet once the chicken is almost done and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
  • Sprinkle shredded cheese over the cooked chicken, cover the skillet, and let the cheese melt for about 2-3 minutes.

Assembling

  • To assemble, place a generous portion of the cheesy chicken mixture onto each tortilla. Add any additional toppings, then wrap tightly.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days in the refrigerator, or freeze assembled wraps for up to 2 months. Reheat in a skillet or microwave. Customize with veggies or different cheeses for variations.
