  • 1 pound ground beef Can be substituted with ground turkey or chicken.
  • ½ cup finely diced yellow onion
  • 1 tablespoon hamburger seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup Can be replaced with a homemade white sauce.
  • 8 ounces Velveeta cheese (cubed) Can substitute with sharp cheddar or another melty cheese.
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Diced pickles and tomatoes (for garnish) Adds freshness and crunch.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a large oven-safe skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef and finely diced onion. Cook until the beef is browned and the onions are transparent (about 8-10 minutes). Drain excess grease.
  • Reduce the heat to low. Stir in the heavy cream, cream of mushroom soup, and Velveeta cheese cubes. Keep stirring for about 5 minutes until everything is melted and creamy.
  • Add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet, mixing well to ensure every strand is coated with the creamy sauce.
  • Top the mixture with shredded mozzarella cheese. Place the skillet in the preheated oven and bake for 5-8 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Once out of the oven, garnish with diced pickles and tomatoes for added freshness and crunch.

Notes

For a spicy version, add crushed red pepper flakes or diced jalapeños. To make it vegetarian, replace ground beef with cooked lentils or mushrooms. Store leftovers in an airtight container for 3-4 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
