Ingredients

For the Burgers

  • 1 pound ground beef Substitute with ground turkey or chicken for a leaner option.
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon pepper
  • 3 slices American cheese Can substitute with other cheese types like cheddar or provolone.
  • 3 slices turkey bacon Regular bacon or vegetarian alternatives can be used.
  • 2 tablespoons spreadable butter Can use flavored butters for added taste.

For the Donuts

  • 3 pieces glazed donuts Store-bought or homemade can be used.

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a large bowl, combine the ground beef with salt and pepper. Use your hands to mix until just combined.
  • Divide the beef mixture into three equal parts and shape into patties slightly larger than the donuts.
  • Heat a skillet over medium heat. Optionally, add a teaspoon of butter to the skillet.
  • Cook the patties for 4-5 minutes on each side until browned and cooked to desired doneness, adding cheese in the last minute.
  • In a separate skillet, prepare the turkey bacon as per package instructions until crispy, usually about 4-6 minutes.
  • Slice each donut in half, spread butter on cut sides, and toast in the skillet until golden brown, around 1-2 minutes.

Assembly

  • Place one beef patty on the bottom half of each toasted donut, add a slice of crispy turkey bacon, and top with the other half of the donut.

Notes

Serve while warm for best flavor. Consider adding toppings like spicy mustard or pickles for extra flavor.
