  • 1/2 cup diced onion Yellow or white onions are recommended.
  • 8 pieces slider buns Any small buns will work; try Hawaiian rolls for sweetness.
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese American or Swiss cheese can be used as alternatives.
  • 1/4 cup pickles Add more if desired for extra crunch.
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise Can mix with other condiments for flavor.
  • 1/4 cup ketchup Substitute with teriyaki sauce for a twist.
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • Salt and pepper to taste Season incrementally and taste as you go.
  • Sesame seeds for garnish Optional for added flavor and appearance.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a skillet, cook the ground beef and diced onion over medium heat until browned.
  • Drain excess fat and season with salt and pepper.
  • Place the bottom halves of the slider buns in a baking dish.
  • Spread the beef mixture evenly over the buns.
  • Top with cheese slices, pickles, and remaining onions.
  • Spread mayonnaise, ketchup, and mustard on the top halves of the buns and place them on top.
  • Brush the tops with melted butter and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until sliders are heated through and cheese is melted.
  • Serve warm.
