Chocolate

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter with granulated and brown sugars until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
  • Mix in eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
  • Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  • Use a large cookie scoop or 1/4 cup to scoop the dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them well apart.

Baking

  • Bake for 12-15 minutes, until the edges are golden brown but the center looks slightly underbaked.

Notes

For extra thick cookies, chill the dough for about 30 minutes before baking. Store cookies in an airtight container for up to 1 week or freeze for up to 3 months.
