Ingredients
  

For the cheese mixture

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened Base for the dip; use reduced-fat for lower fat content.
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup sour cream Can substitute with Greek yogurt for a healthier option.
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise Richness can be altered with Greek yogurt.

For the additional flavor

  • 1 cup cooked Italian sausage, crumbled Can replace with ground turkey or omitted for a vegetarian option.
  • 1/2 cup chopped green onions
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes Optional; adjust for spice preference.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, mozzarella, cheddar, Parmesan, sour cream, and mayonnaise. Blend until smooth and creamy.
  • Stir in the crumbled Italian sausage, chopped green onions, garlic powder, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper until evenly distributed.
  • Spoon the cheese mixture into a greased baking dish, spreading it evenly.

Baking

  • Place the dish in the oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until bubbly and golden brown.
  • For a crispier top, broil for the last couple of minutes, watching closely to prevent burning.

Serving

  • Remove from the oven and serve warm with tortilla chips, bread, or crackers.
  • Garnish with extra chopped green onions for a fresh touch.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for 3-4 days in the fridge. Can be frozen for up to 2 months.
